Program Description:
Humans in Public Health is a radio show that takes listeners into the world of Public Health, a field that touches all of our lives whether we realize it or not! A lot of people think that public health is just about infectious diseases, like COVID, but really it includes our legal and healthcare systems, climate change, policing, meditation, the food we eat, and the misinformation we see online. Each episode is an interview with a public health expert about their research, and the personal stories behind their work, hosted by an award winning healthcare journalist.
Episodes are 14 minutes long, fitting in a Weekend Edition segment, but stations are welcome to use episodes however they see fit. We release new episodes for free on PRX every month, and we have a catalogue of 30+ episodes for you to choose from. If PRX isn’t available to your station, we have other free distribution methods available as well. Please email natkatzhardy@gmail.com for non-PRX distribution methods.
