Ernest T. Sanchez, is the President of the Sanchez Law Firm P.C. in Washington, DC. and has been practicing media law for over forty years. Previously, Mr. Sanchez chaired the media practice group of the world’s largest law firm, Baker & McKenzie. Mr. Sanchez has served as outside entertainment and copyright counsel for many media organizations, including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the Discovery Channel, The Smithsonian Channel, the Travel Channel, the Voice of America, First Nations Experience (FNX) and Free Speech TV.

Mr. Sanchez was the founding General Counsel of National Public Radio (NPR) in the early 1970’s and was on the initial legal staff of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Mr. Sanchez received his Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Sanchez was a working broadcaster and journalist for Radio Denmark Shortwave in Copenhagen, Denmark and the Voice of America in Washington, DC.
