Program Description:
Mystic Sciences Theater is an award-winning immersive audio drama series that brings unusual history, mysteries, legends, and unexplained events to life through dramatic radio storytelling.
Each program combines a storyteller/narrator with fully dramatized scenes performed by voice actors, original music, extensive sound effects, and detailed audio production. Whenever possible, actors are cast from the regions where the stories actually occurred. Our production of The Last Day of Pompeii, for example, featured actors from Pompeii, Naples and the Puglia region of Italy. At the same time, our recreation of the 1974 Berwyn Mountains incident used performers from England and Wales.
Programs include The Last Day of Pompeii, The Battle of Los Angeles, Ape Canyon, The Berwyn Mountains Incident, Legends of London, The Mothman Chronicles and other unusual historical stories and mysteries.
Mystic Sciences Theater received the 2026 PopCon Podcast Award for Best Intro. Broadcast versions are produced for approximately half-hour radio slots and are available as individual specials or as a continuing series. Several programs are particularly well suited for Halloween and seasonal programming.
