Working Group: Community Radio, Digital Audio Asset Management
Many community radio stations are seeing the change before our eyes: CDs are disappearing, compact disc players are being discontinued, and the music industry has moved rapidly to digital. However, few stations are making the transition from physical to digital. That’s in part because it’s hard to determine file type and metadata benchmarks, to develop a workflow, and due to a lack of established protocols and software in community radio. This unique meeting is a new effort by NFCB to help member stations to begin working together on community radio standards for digital music formats, libraries and work. Are you at a station involved in digital conversion, or wanting to begin it? Would you like to work with fellow radio stations to solve our common issues and build a community-sourced database to reduce the work we do? Stay after NFCB’s membership meeting for this interactive conversation.
