Voice and Community: The Values of Public Media

Here is a throwback for you, to a speech delivered at Boise State University by our CEO Sally Kane. In her address, Sally talked about the history, values, and unique contributions of community radio.  She also shared her own story and draw to radio as a medium:

I think radio is a warm medium, its a medium that allows your mind to imagine. I think without all the visual stuff in front of you, you can hear more of the tone of what people are saying, the emotion and I think that informs us on a more cellular level than either television or print media.”
