Program Description:

An 8-hour “radio-movie-mini-series” is an American, New World re-visioning of R.L. Stevenson’s classic novel, resetting the story in the Bayous, the Port of New Orleans, and the Caribbean in 1828 at the end of the Golden Age of Piracy.

The fully dramatized production stars the voices of Keith David as the infamous buccaneer Long John Silver, John Goodman as Billy Bones the old pirate with a secret, and Glynn Turman as the elder Jim Hawkins, our Storyteller, along with members of the Firesign Theatre—David Ossman and Phil Proctor— and a large supporting cast of seasoned actors from radio, stage, screen, and television.

Treasure Island: A Telling for the New World, was written and directed by Orson Ossman, post-produced with cinematic sound-designers supervised by Randy Thom and realized with Otherworld Media’s expertise.
