How often do you get to meet with a community radio pro to help you out?

NFCB’s annual conference is almost here. Your chance to talk with some truly gifted people is now.

In addition to keynotes by Denise Soler Cox and Jenni Monet, we have two dozen breakout sessions on revenue, engagement, content and tech; intensives on journalism, music programming, governance and organizational culture and fundraising; plenaries on change management and inclusivity and much more in store.

NFCB welcomes a range of public media’s greatest thinkers and innovators to sessions, including Sue Schardt, Tom Livingston, Jody Evans, Mike Wassenaar, Jo Ellen Kaiser, Jim Anderson, Ijeoma Oluo, Mike Savage, Tracy Wahl and Joe Torres. Community radio leaders such as Melodie Virtue, Lackisha Freeman, Jeff Pope, Magaly Rivera, Ken Freedman, Loris Taylor, Mike Henry, Nan Rubin, Peggy Berryhill and many more speakers will offer knowledge, inspiration and practical ideas for growing your efforts.

Some of our major sessions focus on music rights, social media for fundraising and engagement, using data to express impact, advocacy in the Trump era, legal issues facing community radio, underwriting, community radio news, music tastemaking and successful pledge drives. At the closing banquet, NFCB will present its signature awards, including the Volunteer of the Year, Golden Torchlight, Michael Bader Award and Media Citizenship Award.

If you’re with a radio program, a media business, or are a passionate supporter of community media, you’re invited to sponsor and exhibit at this year’s conference. Hurry though – spots are disappearing fast. Conference bag inserts are an option.

Come take your seat at the table in Denver.
