Sue Matters has been Station Manager at KWSO for 20 years. The station is owned and operated by The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs of Oregon and went on the air in 1986. Originally working at the Tribes’ commercial radio station, Sue spent 12 years working in Early Childhood Education before returning to radio. Within the Tribal Government’s Branch of Health & Human Services, KWSO provides Warm Springs with quality radio programming that: delivers local news and information; promotes education, cultural knowledge and language preservation; and increases awareness of social, health and safety issues. KWSO programming and online content seeks to inform, educate, and have positive impact.
Sue is married into the Tribes and has 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren with one more on the way.
