NFCB’s Ernesto Aguilar joins a key media archiving effort.
In 2013, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting selected WGBH and the Library of Congress as the permanent stewards of the American Archive of Public Broadcasting, an initiative that seeks to coordinate a national effort to preserve at-risk public media.
NFCB Membership Program Director Ernesto Aguilar has been selected to serve on AAPB’s Stations and Producers Advisory Committee. The committee advises on a variety of aspects of public media preservation and access issues.
NFCB has long been an advocate of community radio history and archival efforts. From work with the Radio Preservation Task Force to ongoing education, NFCB believes stations capture important history in their communities.
