NFCB is pleased to announce its keynote speakers for the Community Media Conference.
On Wednesday, the conference keynote is Nina Simon, author and executive director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz, Calif. She will lead attendees in an exploration of what it means for a community-serving nonprofit to be relevant and to attract, engage, sustain and retain members. Learn more about her endeavors at the Of/By/For all Movement website.
Thursday’s keynote is no stranger to community radio stations. Legendary media lawyer John Crigler kicks off the day’s sessions.
One of community media’s most respected names, Crigler, a former NFCB board member, has provided representation to noncommercial stations before the Federal Communications Commission, the Copyright Office and Copyright Royalty Board, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and state and federal courts. He will share his humor and insights into community radio’s past, present and future.
