Molly Stentz is news director for WORT in Madison, Wis. She has won breaking news awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Milwaukee Press Club. As a radio journalist, she has covered international and national news events such as the World Social Forum in Senegal, the citizen occupation of the Wisconsin State Capitol under Governor Scott Walker, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen and political conventions nominating U.S. presidential candidates. Most often you will find her covering local and state news and training new journalists. She has trained hundreds of community, student, and professional reporters over her career. She got her start covering the 1999 “Battle of Seattle” anti-globalization movement and continues to freelance for newspapers and radio stations.
