Mikhael Simmonds currently serves as the Executive Director of the Center for Community Media (CCM) at the prestigious Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. He directs CCM’s efforts towards empowering community news organizations, fostering their growth, and amplifying underrepresented voices and issues. Prior to his role at CCM, Mikhael made notable contributions as the Director of New Relationships at the Solutions Journalism Network, where he led in strategizing and executing journalist training programs and news outlet coaching.
