San Diego is a very diverse town that offers much to its visitors. You can go to the beach and the mountains in a single day. You can take a day trip to Mexico or the desert. San Diego is known for its Mexican influence, its craft beer scene and outstanding dining. Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo are popular attractions. Those with kids may be interested in Sea World and/or Legoland. There is nightlife in the downtown Gaslamp District and numerous music venues.

A good resource for anyone is the San Diego Reader, which contains info on happenings, entertainment, dining and much more.

San Diego has some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico. We are known for fish tacos and the Rubio’s chain. Liberty Station is close by and offers tons of restaurants, bars, groceries, a food hall, and more. Many of San Diego’s trendiest restaurants are located in Little Italy, which is close by, and is not at all limited to Italian food.

Are you a craft beer connoisseur? San Diego boasts it is the “Capital of Craft.” You can download an app with local maps, events and more here.
