In 2006 he returned to community radio, applying for what is now KNSJ 89.1 FM.
Martin grew up in Colombia. He spent six years as a union organizer with the UFW, Machinist Union and UAW. His next 20 years in San Diego were spent at the Community College and University level where he was Media Supervisor and later taught sociology, media and multi-cultural studies.
