Station Services Manager, Latino Public Radio Consortium
Ileana Rivera Santa is a 30+ year public broadcasting veteran and is LPRC’s Station Services Manager, a service for Latino-controlled radio stations in the United States and Puerto Rico designed by the Latino Public Radio Consortium and funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Ileana brings in-depth management expertise and knowledge of the public media industry and is responsible for developing culturally relevant & bilingual programs, resources and tools to support the growth of LPRC Member Stations.
Ileana shares her management, administrative and development skills with the Latino public radio stations to streamline delivery of public radio services, foster efficiencies and bring forth new voices to the public media landscape. She possesses programmatic, production, community engagement and development experience and is the main liaison helping stations with Community Services grants and its related compliance requirements. In her role, Ileana utilizes her creative insights to bring forth webinars, Annual Summits, cultivates important LPRC partnerships and has built a longstanding trusted relationship with Latino public radio & TV stations nationwide. Previously, Ileana was the Vice-President of Development and Educational Services of public television Sistema TV, Canal Universitario Ana G. Mendez, WMTJ and WQTO TV in San Juan, Puerto Rico. For 15 years prior to that she was Director of Planning and Development for the Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation, dual licensee of public radio Allegro 89.3 FM and WIPR 940 AM public television WIPR and WIPM.
