KOPN Community Radio
KOPN 89.5 FM, a listener-supported community radio station in Columbia, MO, seeks candidates for the position of Executive Director.
On the air for 50 years and going strong, KOPN provides an eclectic mix of locally produced music and talk programs along with a curated mix of syndicated programs from NPR, PRX, and Pacifica. We seek a qualified, enthusiastic, creative executive director interested in working with our small paid staff and large corps of volunteers. Community support has made it possible for us to purchase and move to a new accessible location. On solid financial footing and with a growing team of dedicated volunteers, we are excited about the future.
The Executive Director is responsible (directly and, as appropriate, with staff support) and accountable for overall administration, financial planning and accounting, compliance with all legal and other requirements, development and fundraising, personnel, programming, community engagement, and technical operations of the station.
This is a full-time salaried, FSLA exempt position that requires occasional evening and weekend hours. Salary: starting at $52,000, negotiable based on experience and provides ample opportunity for performance-based incentives. Benefits: paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
