Webinar: 2025 Public Radio Techsurvey – results and takeaways (Members)
February 5 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST
Join us for an insightful look into the 2025 Public Radio Techsurvey (PRTS). In conjunction with Jacobs Media and Public Media Content Collective, the second annual NFCB PRTS 2025 reveals how Community/Public Radio is positioned in the ongoing digital revolution.
In November 2025, nearly 4,000 core Community Radio listeners from the email databases of 33 U.S. Community Radio stations participated. This research guides Community/Public Radio stations to better understand the impact change and disruption have on their operations and help them strategically navigate the digital waters to maximize effectiveness, build strategies, communicate with station staff, and set priorities.
This year’s study delves into the following areas (and much more):
Perceptions on Community and Public Radio’s levels of trust & transparency: How well is your station engaging its connections to its community? And how are trust levels holding up in today’s divisive political environment?
Community Radio and music: we’ll provide valuable insights into how audiences are engaging with radio, discovering music, and using digital platforms and devices.
Data to guide fundraising strategies: A continued exploration on perceptions around station fundraising, including pressure points.
How much value do listeners place on being “local?” Expect deep insights into public radio’s role in providing local news and community information.
Trendable data on platform use: Fresh data on usage of smart speakers, mobile apps, connected cars, audio and video podcasts, and online newsletters – all vital to “meeting the audience where they are.”
