DEI Meet Up with Brenda Barnes of Classical KING FM

This Community Media DEI Meetup was led by Brenda Barnes of Classical KING FM. We learned that Classical KING FM has created a strategic framework centering diversity, equity, and inclusion into station policies, programming decisions, board recruitment, and staffing. This was done with input from the board, staff, and listeners. We also learned that the station is early in this work, as they’re in the first year of the strategic framework. They will be working with outside organizations, like University of Seattle, to create a new 5 year strategic plan for the station in the coming year.
