The FCC has extended the comment dates for its forthcoming look at the effectiveness of Equal Employment Opportunity rules.

Several groups have said small broadcasters should be exempt from existing rules, which require stations with five or more full-time equivalent employees to file EEO reports. They have suggested changes raising the requirement to 50 employees.

Comments to the FCC on this matter are now being accepted until September 20, with reply comments due by November 4.
