NFCB has heard your requests for more professional development and training opportunities around underwriting and corporate support. We have worked with Beverly James to offer webinar sessions later this year. The first will be Creating the Yes on Tuesday, 4/19 at 4p ET/1p PT. NFCB members can register in the Solution Center.

Beverly James is hosting a year-long cohort. The cohort will feature 4 one-hour-long calls for those new (or fairly new) to Underwriting Sales and Corporate Support. Beverly has worked as a Salesperson and Sales Manager at both large and small stations and has been a Corporate Support Advisor for Greater Public for four years while running her own consulting business that focuses on smaller stations.
Having worked with NFCB stations over the past couple of years, she recognizes the unique challenges that single-person or small sales departments face. She also knows the power of honing sales skills so reps can present a professional face to the business and non-profit leaders in your community.
This four-part cohort will enable reps to build a network of peers in the industry, learn new skills, and gain the perspectives of a group of public media sales professionals. 

Calls will take place at 2p ET/11a PT on April 26, June 21, September 20, and December 6.
The cost for NFCB member stations is $200, and the remaining cost will be subsidized by NFCB. Beverly will meet with all participants in advance of the cohort to assess skill level, determine needs, and generally get to know each participant. Space is limited to 10 participants.
