Deep dive learning is now available. It benefits community radio stations tremendously.
At the 2017 Community Media Conference, four intensives are designed to help you address big issues with your station, including:
- A music programming intensive with one of the space’s best minds, Mike Henry.
- A governance and culture intensive with the legendary Tom Livingston and featuring pre-meeting questions for attendees.
- A solutions journalism intensive with the Solutions Journalism Network.
- A fundraising intensive with Jim Anderson of Goalbusters.
Each of these three-hour learning opportunities is aimed at sitting you down with experienced community media innovators who have tangled with big issues and succeeded, and who can coach you to your best work.
Alone, bringing in someone to help you with such work would cost a station far more. And then there are consulting fees, and associated costs. Instead, a conference intensive is an affordable add-on to the full conference that helps you figure out board problems, building a newsroom, developing your fundraising and sharpening your music engagement with people who are there to help you and tailor their recommendations based on your needs.
You can sign up for intensives when you register for #NFCB17. While registering, you can sign up for a hotel room as well. NFCB recommends the conference hotel for convenience and overall savings.
