She helps non-commercial stations with many tasks: preparing applications for license, governance, organizing, organizations, translating FCC speak, and much more. She also has done work in most aspects of community radio through 30+ years of working with Brown Broadcast Services, doing many things from proofing applications to doing field measurements.
Betty has 45+ years of experience working in and with community groups in the Northwest doing a wide variety of tasks from mailing parties to President of the Board of Directors. Since last Fall, Betty has been working as co-chair of GRC2018.
Ask Betty about some of her favorite things to do when she has a break from helping community radio stations: tap dancing, bicycle touring, gardening, kayaking, reading and socializing with friends.
