Job Description:

Independent, community radio station with growing audience is seeking an Assistant Director of News & Public Affairs to join our newsroom dedicated to speaking truth to power. You will have an opportunity for huge impact in this critical Florida market. Overall, this position is responsible for being the exemplar senior reporter and producer of news and public affairs programming who will supervise others striving to be the same. This includes local news, features, investigations, and on-air public affairs programming. Additionally, you will provide managerial and operational support for the Director of News & Public Affairs. The Assistant Director will work with diverse groups of volunteers, interns, and students who produce for WMNF’s audience that includes the Tampa Bay area, covering seven counties, and internationally via streaming and web presence.
