Alex Forsett is the Western Colorado Regional Director and Statewide University Partnerships for Rocky Mountain Public Media; parent organization of Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO Jazz, and The People’s station for R&B and hip-hop, THE DROP 303. Alex is 3rd-generation Coloradan and graduated from Colorado Mesa University before starting with RMPBS in 2015. He is the liaison to Native Lens – an indigenous-led storytelling project – in partnership with KSUT Tribal Radio in Ignacio. He is an Advisory Board Member of the Western Colorado Community College Digital Filmmaking Program, serves on the board of the Grand Junction Film Festival, and is Exofficio board member of KAFM Community Radio – where he hosts a weekly electronic music program called the Electric Desert. This year, Alex inspired the vision and successfully opened the Western Colorado Public Media Center, a collaborative media center.
