Free webinar for LPRC Stations in collaboration with LPRC.
Thursday December 4th, 2PM EST
Presenters: Flo Hernández-Ramos (LPRC co-founder and former Executive Director) and Claudia Galdámez (Broadcasting Director at Radio Centro WLCH in Lancaster, PA)
Getting your foot in the door with auspiciadores is a challenge. You have a great radio station and a fantastic community of listeners. If only you could get sponsors to hear what you have to say and help you say it louder! Well, a strong media kit will help open doors with potential sponsors. A media kit is a conversation starter — and sponsors often expect to see it!
Before making a decision about supporting your radio station, sponsors want to get to know you better. And the media kit is how you tell your story, show your personality, demonstrate where you stand in the community and explain the benefits of supporting your radio station.
How simple or elaborate your media kit will be, depends on your needs and resources. But there are key ingredientes that you should include, such as: who you serve, your program schedule, your case for support (why they should sponsor you) and your radio coverage.
Webinar presenter Flo Hernández Ramos, LPRC co-founder and former Executive Director, will tell you more about the key ingredients. She will also present the LPRC-model based on media kits from Latino member stations.
Once you’ve got the basics of putting together an effective media kit, it’s time to get going! Claudia Galdámez, Broadcasting Director at WLCH Radio Centro, will share her experience using a media kit: how they were able to open new doors, how the media kit helped get more sponsors, what worked and what didn’t, what they learned from using a media kit, and what you should keep in mind when using your own media kit.
The webinar Abre Puertas to More Sponsors with an Effective Media Kit is Thursday, Dec. 4 at 2:00 PM ET. Free for LPRC and NFCB member station. Register now and start knocking on some doors with your spectacular media kit!
P.S. You can get started by reading the Media Kit Development Receta.
